The Hickory Landmarks Society offers a variety of unrestricted and giving options for charitable-minded individuals or corporations. HLS is a not-for-profit corporation exempt from Federal Income Tax under Section 501(C)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code. Donations including gifts of appreciated stock to HLS are tax deductible. Please consider the Hickory Landmarks Society in your charitable giving plans.
MAPLE GROVE ENDOWMENT FUND Established in 1993 with a gift from the late Adelaide Shuford to provide for the maintenance and preservation of Maple Grove. Interest only may be spent.
FRANCES MOODY FUND Established in 1994 by the Board of Directors to provide for the maintenance and preservation of Maple Grove. Interest only may be spent.
EDNA BARRINGER AND FRANCES MOODY - PROPST HOUSE FUND Propst House Fund - Established in 1997 with a gift of Mrs. Harley Shuford, Jr. to provide for the maintenance and preservation of the Propst House. Interest only may be spent.
THE PARSONAGE FUND Established in 1994 to restore and maintain the 1895 Corinth Church Parsonage in Ivey Arboretum Park.
ENDANGERED PROPERTIES FUND Established in 2000 to provide for the option to temporarily purchase an endangered building in order to save it from destruction.
OPERATING RESERVE FUND Reserved for unanticipated or emergency operating needs.
MUSEUM COLLECTIONS Reserved for acquisition of objects and furnishings for the Maple Grove and Propst House Museums.
IN-KIND OFFICE SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT, COLLECTIONS AND STORAGE EQUIPMENT Reserved for the above named items. In-kind donations are also accepted.
HOUK'S CHAPEL FUND Reserved to restore the 1888 Chapel to its original splendor.
