Volunteer  Opportunities

Sixty member Hickory Landmarks Society Docent  Guild provides museum tours for groups of adults and children. A special training session is provided for anyone wishing to become a Guide. Volunteer on-call "team" of men and women helps with interior and  exterior, nonprofessional building maintenance needs. Volunteers help  with special event fund raising such as the annual historic home and garden tours, and Christmas poinsettia sales. Volunteers assist with  administrative services such as data entry, filing, bulk mail processing  and receptionist activities.

Employment Opportunities

Although the Hickory Landmarks Society employs relatively small professional

staff, occasionally a vacancy for permanent or temporary employment will occur.
